We're looking for a calm leader, with previous experience in a fast paced kitchen. You'll be running the kitchen for 2 days a week and supporting the Kitchen Manager for the remaining three.
You'll be joining a hardworking, well organised team with a passion for quality food production, cleanliness and with a great team ethic.
The ideal candidate will be a team player and a natural authentic leader, who is willing to coach and develop the team and who role models the right behaviours.
This is not an office job but a hands on role, where you lead from the front with a strong work ethic, conscientious approach and have respect for your work colleagues.
The business is food led with a strong bar trade and an award winning carvery which is served 7 days per week. But that's not all... we also specialise in homemade pub fayre and run weekly Chefs specials which will give you the opportunity to add your own stamp on the menu. So if you love seafood, game, pasta, or anything else that takes your fancy, we'll give you the time shine and to showcase your real talent.
We don't just serve great food, we serve safe food, so hygiene standards are a non-negotiable and you'll be responsible for ensuring that we meet and exceed the required food safety and cleanliness standards in our kitchen.
Great stock control and margin control are a given, so you'll know what it takes to deliver a profitable kitchen operation.
You'll be working with at least a team of three and a KP weekdays, moving to extra at the weekend and 7 on a Sunday.
