Job Summary
Provide direct support to a nursing team across various departments, undertaking nursing and ancillary duties in line with assessment and planning by a registered nurse. Work in a full‑time, permanent role with flexible part‑time options where applicable.
Responsibilities
* Promote and deliver patient‑centred care aligned with the Trust vision, Nursing and Midwifery strategy and the NHS performance framework.
* Provide safe, effective, compassionate care using evidence‑based practice and clinical governance frameworks.
* Support continuous service improvement, meeting Trust objectives and clinical governance standards.
* Maintain a clean, safe department and uphold infection control standards.
* Assist nursing staff with non‑nursing duties, including medication preparation, basic care, and documentation.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.
* Provide qualification certificate before interview; interview will not proceed without it.
Essential Experience
* Recent relevant experience in health care.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
* Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate quality patient care.
* Meet basic care needs and administer medication safely.
* Escalate clinical concerns appropriately.
Contract & Working Pattern
* Permanent, full‑time (part‑time options available).
* Band 3 with annual salary £24,937 – £26,598 pro rata per annum.
* Location: University Hospital of North Tees and Hartlepool Foundation Trust, Hardwick Road, Stockton‑on‑Tees, TS19 8PE.
