Description
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper will be:
* Record, process, and reconcile supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
* Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier accounts
* Create and issue customer invoices in line with agreed terms
* Manage CIS returns and maintain accurate associated records
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC requirements
* Carry out daily banking and bank reconciliations
* Oversee general bookkeeping and maintain organised financial records
* Provide financial support and insight to the company director and site teams
* Assist with payroll preparation and processing as required
Profile
* Proven experience in a similar accounts role within the construction sector
* Comfortable working in an SME business
* Proficient in Sage 50 Accounts
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
* Knowledge of CIS is essential
* Experience with payroll is desirable, but not essential
Job Offer
* Competitive salary £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)
* Full-time, office-based role (40 hours per week, 8:00am - 4:30pm) with flexibility on hours
