Our amazing #TeamSummerlee in North Lanarkshire are now on the lookout for caring, compassionate and flexible colleagues to join them as a Support Practitioner on a permanent part-time basis.
The Role
The main purpose of your role will be to support two gentleman in their own home working in a person-centred way with all aspects of their daily living, including shopping, finances, cooking, housework and personal care.
One of the gentleman enjoys a peaceful life with enjoyment for people watching, being outdoors and sensory activities whereas the other loves high fives, events, festivals and music - with Gerry Cinnamon being a firm favourite! Both are partial to chocolate and holidaying with their Team! As you will be supporting the gentlemen in their home and out in the community, having an outgoing empathetic personality is key.
About You
At Cornerstone, we don't recruit on experience and qualifications; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need to build your career within the Health & Social Care sector. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
* A caring attitude and approach
* Good communication skills
* A positive approach to learning
* An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
* Confidence in the use of computers.
Having a full UK manual driving licence would be beneficial but not essential.
Shift Patterns
Our dedicated team provide 24/7 care tailored to the needs of the gentlemen they support, shifts are varied and will include early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
