Job Title: Clerical Officer/Receptionist

What you'll be responsible for:
· To organise outpatient activity for the consultants and their clinical teams, using a range of hospital information systems, including Lorenzo and Choose and Book. Including booking of appointments, booking of transport and interpreter requirements.
· As directed by the Senior clerk, monitor patient queues and waiting times to ensure patients receive timely, appropriate new and follow up appointments in line with Trust National policy, to meet local and national targets
· To ensure that all graded referrals are accurately reflected on Lorenzo in a timely manner and all referrals are offered an appointment, ensuring compliance with the
· Trust outpatient waiting time targets and 18-week agenda
· To liaise regularly with colleagues, including supervisors, service managers, clinicians and other administrative staff to ensure full utilisation of all available outpatient slots
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
· Previous clerical experience
· Previous experience of working within an admin background.
· Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
· Strong IT skills
· Strong customer service skills
