Salary: £26,093 £28,031 Location: Harper Adams University, Edgmond (TF10 8NB) Working pattern: 3 days on site / hybrid working Holidays: 22 days + Bank Holidays + 8 additional closure days (38 Days)
Were looking for a Credit Controller to join our friendly finance team at Harper Adams University.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, building relationships, and helping keep finances on track. Youll play a key role in making sure invoices are raised correctly, payments are collected on time, and customers are supported when needed.
Whether youve worked in a credit control or sales ledger role before, or you have transferable finance experience, wed love to hear from you.
Duties and responsibilities
Raising invoices accurately and on time
Chasing outstanding payments by phone and email
Keeping track of incoming payments and recording them correctly
Working with colleagues across the university to resolve payment issues
Setting up payment plans where needed
Helping reduce overdue debt and keeping accounts up to date
Supporting with basic reports and month-end tasks
Skills and experience
Some experience in credit control, sales ledger, or a similar finance role
Good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers
Comfortable using Excel and systems (training can be provided)
Strong communication skills especially when handling tricky conversations
Someone organised who can manage their own workload
