Job Title: Transport Shift Manager
Location: West Thurrock, RM20 3LB
Job Length: Permanent
Working Hours: 45 hours per week, 9 hours per day, core hours 4am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work outside these hours to suit business needs.

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to iconic beers and soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn, as well as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.
With a strong national footprint, Carlsberg Britvic includes 5 production facilities and 16 logistics depots servicing customers across the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the goal remains ensuring our people succeed.
About the role
This role is about leading a team to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations every day. You’ll ensure drivers and vehicles meet all legal requirements while supporting your team to work effectively and provide an excellent customer experience. If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for 2 Transport Shift Managers. Reporting to the Transport Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for compliance of all vehicles and drivers.
* Providing skills required to deliver to customers on time and in full.
* Providing high quality services to suit customer needs.
* Providing support for distribution teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
* Making sure all site objectives are met whilst not compromising on health and safety.
* Holding health and safety at the forefront of all processes.
* Seeing the vehicles and crew out in the morning and overseeing the return of all vehicles and crews.
* To be the point of contact for all real time delivery issues for the crews and to communicate with customer services.
Experience and Key Attributes
* Experience supervising or leading within transport or a logistics network.
* Experience within transport compliance.
* Customer Service.
* IT literate.
* Manual Handling.
* IOSH certification beneficial however not required.
* Transport Manager CPC beneficial however not required.
