Job description
Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Site & Facilities Advisor for their Submarine Solutions division based in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a 12-month contract role covering sabbatical leave and requires full-time on-site attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the day-to-day operations of facility services, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations
2. Coordinating maintenance activities and overseeing the work of service providers
3. Ensuring facilities meet health and safety requirements and are up to standards
4. Developing and implementing facilities management policies and procedures
5. Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness in facility operations
6. Conducting regular inspections and audits of facilities
7. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless facility operations
8. Providing technical advice and support on facility management matters
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in facilities management, preferably within the Defence & Security sector
10. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to facility management
11. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
12. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
14. Proficiency in managing budgets and monitoring expenditures
15. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
