Our Forensic Outreach and Liaison (FOLs) team seeks a passionate and committed lead psychologist. You will work with friendly, supportive multidisciplinary teams that value the skills of Clinical/Counselling Psychologists. Your role involves working with high-risk, complex mental health cases, providing supervision to colleagues, and contributing to the service's leadership and therapeutic development.
Main duties of the job
1. Plan and deliver a highly specialist psychology service, overseeing clinical governance.
2. Provide professional leadership and develop the team or service area.
3. Develop and implement policies, protocols, and care pathways.
4. Ensure needs related to protected characteristics are addressed in services and future plans.
5. Apply highly specialist psychological assessments, formulation, interventions, and consultation for complex cases.
6. Supervise and teach pre-registration students and junior staff, participate in educational audits and inductions.
7. Research best practices and benchmark against national standards, involving service users and carers.
8. Lead clinical audits and research, staying current with developments in the field.
