Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join the Soft Touch Arts Community Cafe Project Team.

The role involves supporting the production of food, ensuring the café meets Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations, and collaborating with the team to achieve high standards.
To be successful in this position, you must have recent experience in a catering environment, experience of working with young people in a creative environment and/or alternative education provision, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, while developing your skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

* £17,876.73 per annum for 22.5 hours per week
* Required at 50 New Walk, Tuesday to Thursday
* Flexibility will be required to attend café project meetings or deliver off-site catering activities throughout the week or at weekends
* There may be opportunities for additional working hours

* Try new foods and have an awareness of healthy eating.
* Be aware of the quality and presentation of the food, e.g., through taste testing, customer feedback, social media, and asking people what they think.
* Take their next steps in the wider workplace, such as CV writing and work experience.
The work needs to be approached with an open and flexible attitude as there is no 'typical' café day, and sessions often require workers to respond to unexpected situations and 'think on their feet'.
Staff should strive to run the café project to be as environmentally friendly as possible in line with our environmental policies, i.e., thinking about usage of ovens, fridges, disposable items, etc., and sourcing of food.
