We'd like you to join us as a Senior Health Care Assistant at our services Bethany House & Lodge in Dymchurch.

At Bethany Lodge, we support young adults with disabilities in a residential setting, focusing on independence and wellbeing. Similarly, Bethany House offers a supportive environment for individuals needing care, emphasizing safety, happiness, and empowerment.
What you'll be working:
Your hours are based on a rota working every other weekend.
* Full-time hours - 42 hours a week.
* £30,813.38 per annum
* Night shifts from 20:00 to 08:15, with a 36/48 or 42/42 rotation over two weeks (including 3x12 and 1x6 shifts).
* 25 pence per hour uplift for night hours.
* Experience in care is required.
* The role will be shared between both the House and The Lodge.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading shifts effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
* Addressing staff issues such as punctuality and attendance promptly.
* Conducting regular supervisions for the staff team.
* Ensuring each service user has a designated key worker and that all related responsibilities are fulfilled.
* Maintaining and updating risk assessments and person-centered plans in collaboration with the service manager.
* Monitoring staff performance and identifying areas for improvement.
* Mentoring staff to develop their skills.
* Supporting service users within the frameworks of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.
* Managing petty cash according to company guidelines.
* Administering medication following procedures.
* Providing on-the-job training and guidance.
* Supporting medical appointments and correspondence for service users.
* Covering all aspects of the healthcare assistant role as needed to meet service demands.
* Representing Active Care Group when liaising with external stakeholders.
* Supporting referral activities, including assessments and service visits.
* Attending and preparing for service user reviews.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.
* Participating in the on-call team.
* Completing mandatory training.
* Performing any other duties necessary to meet service needs and objectives.
What you'll have:
* A flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working.
* Reliability in attendance and punctuality.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Self-confidence and skills in managing challenging situations.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
* Experience as a care worker.
