Role Purpose
As the General Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Heads of Departments (HODS) to optimize sales, profitability, and guest service. Your structured approach will ensure compliance with company policies and standards, all while fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning:
o Collaboration: Work closely with our client and Venue Director to shape strategy and monitor tactical plans.
o Structured Approach: Ensure all activities have clear purposes and measurable outcomes.
o External Landscape: Stay updated on competitor activity and market trends to keep us ahead of the curve.
o Projects: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and deliver innovative projects.
* Operations:
o Oversee day-to-day operations to deliver exceptional product quality and service standards.
o Ensure all services are ready for operation at the agreed standards.
o Drive a guest-focused culture throughout your team.
o Monitor and maintain health and safety policies across the venue.
* People Management:
o Work with the Venue Director to create flexible staffing structures.
o Lead and manage the fixed team for consistent operational delivery.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and oversee training plans.
o Foster a high-energy team culture focused on great food and hospitality.
* Financial & Business Development:
o Be financially accountable for venue costs and profitability.
o Manage operating costs in line with set targets.
o Identify growth opportunities through performance analytics.
o Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams for continuous product development.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in F&B.
* Experience in a stadium or arena environment is preferred.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire large operational teams.
* Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
* Proven P&L accountability and commercial acumen.
* Ability to adapt between leadership and teamwork as needed.
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
