About the role
Here at Huntingdonshire District Council, we are passionate about the front-line services we deliver, and the Technician is a crucial role in that delivery. We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work in our Workshop department. Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles, plant, and equipment to ensure they meet the Department for Transport's MOT Test standards.
* Inspect, diagnose, and repair various equipment while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
* Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure all work is completed to the highest quality.
Qualifications
* Substantial experience in commercial vehicle repair and a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, welding, and fabrication.
* Valid UK driving licence (Cat C).
* Proficiency in using fleet management and diagnostic equipment.
* Collaborative spirit and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Working hours
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, operating hours from 6am to 5pm.
Location and hybrid model
Hybrid work model enabling employees to work remotely while allowing for in-office collaboration opportunities across the district. Candidates should be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
