Job Title: Amazon Digital Commerce Specialist

Business Function: Customer Development

Location: Kingston-Upon-Thames


Job Purpose

The Amazon Digital Commerce Specialist will be responsible for data and content within Unilever UK to optimise the Digital Shelf. You will support the Amazon Digital Marketing Executive with media campaign setup (briefing of media assets) and in‑flight execution. Success will be measured by your impact on business targets such as market share, USG and conversion.


Job Summary

Internally you will partner with our Amazon account team, brand teams, and agency partners to deliver best‑in‑class plans and educate the wider business. You will work across all business units to ensure product page content is OTIF, that NPDs launch on schedule, and the content meets Amazon’s specific requirements. You will optimise existing product page content to maximise sales and meet Perfect Store Online quality targets, search rank, product content, ratings & reviews, and listing accuracy. You will look after the Foods media strategy and budget, work closely with the Smart Data Team to develop data reports, and further be involved in ad‑hoc projects to enhance our digital presence on Amazon.


Responsibilities


Own content across Personal Care, Beauty & Wellbeing and Foods Business Units

* Managing the relationship between our Agency and Unilever from an Amazon perspective to optimise content and land NPDs successfully onsite.
* Reviewing the Data Impact score for our brands to ensure best‑in‑class content is on Amazon.
* Working with dCommerce stakeholders to develop and deploy new content on Amazon across our brands; including titles, images, descriptions.
* Ensuring multipack images are created and deployed on Amazon by working with agency partners.
* Working with Customer Account Managers and Executives to develop product lists to flag Hero, COTC 60 and COTC 80 products.
* Assort products and NPDs in Kwery on a regular basis to ensure content can be deployed on all products.
* Submitting products for Vine to raise ratings & reviews of our NPDs.
* Supporting Category Account Managers & Executives with provided SDS (safety data sheets) for our products.
* Working with the DMC to maintain brand stores, ensuring the correct assets are on each page.
* Creating and maintaining a tracker for gifting products to monitor sales performance and optimise media budgets.
* Supporting CAMs to create virtual bundles and deploy content on Amazon with our agencies.
* Liaising with DMC on creating A+ and Premium A+ content for NPDs and big bets for publishing on Amazon.
* Maintaining the NPD tracker to ensure all stages of the process are met.
* Ensuring a successful launch of all NPDs by having the correct content and launching on time.
* Working with stakeholders (e.g. CAMs, Content Managers, Agencies and Brand teams) to ensure Amazon's requirements are captured.


Merchandising and Foods Media

* Booking merchandising for all BUs through Vendor Central.
* Leading Foods media strategy with our agency and managing budget to ensure full spend.
* Acting as point of contact for our agency on Foods media and related topics.


Data

* Managing Smart Data tools and integration/adoption within the Emerging Ecommerce Team.
* Managing the relationship between the Smart Data team and any data provider (e.g. OCR).
* Working with the global Smart Data team to maintain a suite of tools that is fit for purpose.
* Ensuring the accuracy of the tools for team use – Jupiter, Smart Business, Vector, Dcomm P&L Dashboard, Price Pulse.
* Providing a weekly Amazon EPOS update to the team by creating a report.


All About You


Experiences & Qualifications

* Experience building brands digitally to deliver brand experiences and optimise digital performance & tracking measurements.
* Experience working with retailers and media agencies.
* Prior experience with Amazon is beneficial but not necessary.
* Preferably experience with Unilever’s content ecosystem (Kwery, TAB, PIM2C, PCP, CaaS, Perfect Store Online).
* Experience with data software & tools and creating data reports for the team.
* A strong interest in media, content and marketing.


Skills

* Ability to influence and have an impact working closely with brand teams to serve our consumers’ needs.
* Understanding of consumer shopping behaviours.
* Strong analytical competency enabling analysis and extraction of insights regarding media performance.
* Ability to operate with limited supervision and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
* Data‑driven mindset.
* Ability to be flexible and agile to ad‑hoc requests.
* Ability to drive media strategy and manage budgets with our agency partners.


Notes


Location

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London. The site will house some employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars together with colleagues currently located in Lever House in Kingston. We are excited to be creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment. The campus is due to be completed in 2026.
