About the Role
We are seeking two compassionate and committed Registered Nurses to provide live-in complex care for a 36-year-old woman with significant neurological and physical health needs. Working on a 1 week on / 1 week off rota, the nurses will ensure continuous clinical oversight and work alongside a small team of carers to deliver safe, person-centred support.
The role is live-in during your working week, with private accommodation provided. You will form part of a stable, trusted care team supporting her in her home environment following neurosurgery and ongoing rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 24-hour clinical oversight during your live-in week.
* Safely manage and administer medication (oral and enteral).
* Support swallowing, nutrition, and hydration needs, including PEG feeding and risk management.
* Deliver bladder and bowel care, including continence management and bowel routines.
* Oversee skin integrity, pressure area care, and wound management.
* Monitor and respond to seizures, neurological changes, or acute deterioration.
* Liaise with GPs, hospital specialists, therapists, and community services.
* Work collaboratively with carers, ensuring clear delegation of clinical vs. support tasks.
* Provide trauma-informed care that values emotional wellbeing alongside physical health.
* Keep accurate records in line with NMC standards and care plan requirements.
Requirements
* NMC-registered Registered Nurse (Adult/RGN) (consideration given to RMN/RNLD with strong physical health skills).
* Experience in complex care preferred but not essential – full training will be provided.
* Compassionate, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a small care team.
* Comfortable with a live-in rota (private bedroom provided during working week).
