Equans is looking for a Digital Manager to join our team in Hatfield. This is a full-time role. On offer is a salary of £55,000- £65,000 depending on skills and experience and benefits package.
This role involves travelling to sites across London and Southeast therefore a driving license is required.
The Information Manager is responsible for managing the team responsible for project documentation across multiple construction projects. This includes overseeing the implementation and compliance auditing of document control processes, ensuring processes and controls are applied consistently across all projects, developing and implementing training materials, and mentoring junior document controllers. The role ensures the consistency, integrity, accessibility, and traceability of controlled documents while supporting design, commercial, and delivery teams to meet client and compliance requirements.
What will you deliver?
* Manage a team of document controllers
* Lead document control processes across multiple complex projects or programmes.
* Ensure consistent compliance with document management protocols, GDPR, ISO standards, and client contract requirements.
* Manage and administer EDMS platforms such as Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects), ensuring correct usage and access control.
* Define project information standards, methods, and procedures, ensuring adherence to ISO 19650 or PAS 1192 standards.
* Ensure integration of Golden Thread supporting information (e.g. Fieldview) into EDMS platform
* Manage the production, exchange, and approval of documents, models, and data among contractors, designers, and clients.
* Support the setup of document control systems and naming conventions at project initiation stages.
* Provide quality assurance checks on document submissions and transmittals.
* Oversee the collation and handover of O&M manuals, Health & Safety files, and other key project documentation.
* Produce and interpret document control reports for project leaders and stakeholders.
* Mentor Document Controllers, providing training and guidance as required.
* Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and version control with internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage the secure archiving and retrieval of project documents in line with legal and company requirements

Who are you?
* Substantial experience in document control within construction or engineering projects.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM protocols, and EDMS platforms, particularly Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects).
* Ability to manage and improve document control processes at project and business level.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong IT proficiency including MS Office Suite.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven experience leading a team, delivering training and mentoring staff.
* Experience of data and process auditing.
* Experience with BIM documentation coordination.
* Familiarity with BSR Gateway document control demands.
* Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and project handover documentation requirements.
* Working knowledge of commercial or contractual document processes.
