Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our team covering Sheffield and surrounding areas.
Role Overview
The Fire & Security Engineer will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding and minor remedial works on a range of fire and electronic security systems. You will work across a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial and public sector sites, ensuring systems remain compliant, reliable and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems
* Respond to planned maintenance visits and reactive call-outs across Sheffield and surrounding areas
* Diagnose system faults and complete repairs efficiently
* Complete service reports and documentation accurately
* Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards and Health & Safety regulations
* Provide excellent customer service and technical advice to clients
* Identify opportunities for remedial works, upgrades or improvements
* Participate in an on-call rota where required

* Fire detection and alarm systems
* CCTV systems (IP and analogue)

* Intercom and door entry systems
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Fire & Security Engineer
* Experience servicing fire alarm and electronic security systems
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Good IT skills and ability to complete digital service reports
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications
* FIA or equivalent fire alarm training
* ECS / CSCS card
* IPAF or PASMA
* Experience with major manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced, Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy or similar
* Company vehicle and fuel card
* Mobile phone, tablet and tools provided
* Ongoing training and professional development
