Role overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician with an industrial background to join our clients Electrical Services team. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, test, and commission electrical systems, including distribution boards, control panels, motors, lighting, fire alarms, and security systems.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial electrical systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
Work on 3-phase power systems, control systems, and plant equipment in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Ensure all work complies with current IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Complete electrical test certificates, service reports, and maintenance records accurately.
Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams including mechanical, HVAC, and renewable energy engineers.
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and project managers on-site.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial or commercial environment.
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including 3-phase distribution, control panels, and industrial plant equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Full UK driving licence.
