A leading Principal Contractor is seeking a Design Manager to join its growing design team. This role is ideal for a qualified Architect currently working in practice who wants to transition into a main contractor environment and gain exposure to live project delivery.

Role overview
Reporting to a Head of Design, you will support the design function across complex Birmingham projects, including:
* Managing design information from RIBA Stage 3 onwards
* Coordinating architects, structural and MEP consultants
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
* Supporting design programmes and consultant deliverables
* Attending design team and site meetings
* Assisting with construction-phase design management
Ideal background
* Qualified Architect (ARB / RIBA or equivalent)
* Degree-qualified in Architecture
* Experience within a UK architectural practice
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK Building Regulations
* Keen to move into a Principal Contractor environment (Previous contractor experience is not required)
