Job Title: Senior Mechanical Estimator
Location: Billericay, Essex
Salary: £80K - £85K + Package
The Role:

Prepare accurate and competitive mechanical estimates for commercial design & build projects.
*
Review design drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
*
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and contractors to capture full project requirements.
*
Produce detailed costings, bills of quantities, and tender submissions.
*
Assess contract variations, design changes, and site-related cost implications.
*
Support bid submissions and tender presentations.
*
Maintain accurate records of estimates, cost reports, and documentation for audit and project tracking purposes.

Expertise includes HVAC systems, plumbing, BMS integration, full mechanical/public health drawings, LTA submittals, and CAT A & CAT B fit-outs.

The Ideal Candidate:
*
Strong Mechanical Estimating experience within design & build projects.
*
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building services systems.
*
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
*
Proficient in preparing detailed costings, bills of quantities, and tender submissions.
*
Strong understanding of procurement, budgeting, and value engineering.
*
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
*
Familiarity with UK construction regulations and mechanical engineering standards.
*
Experience with CAT A & CAT B fit-outs highly advantageous.
