A new opportunity to work for a global household business owning many well-known brands. We seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join the team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. A broad range of indirect categories is also considered.
Role and responsibilities:
1. Create strategies and ensure delivery with annual savings targets.
2. Develop group-wide category plans to align with company goals, leveraging supplier relationships.
3. Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level.
4. Build relationships to monitor supplier performance.
5. Manage supplier risk and performance reporting.
6. Promote procurement values and high standards.
7. Ensure strategic projects deliver optimal service and cost efficiency.
Experience and requirements:
1. Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex organizations.
2. Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations.
3. Procurement experience in the private sector, ideally globally.
4. Experience managing complex international projects with Tier 1 & 2 suppliers.
5. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
6. Strategic approach to procurement, suppliers, and business needs.
7. Excellent communication skills across diverse cultures and regions.
8. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
9. MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
