We have an opportunity for a Restaurant Manager to join our talented team at The Parakeet.
Located in a restored Victorian pub in the heart of Kentish Town, we offer a menu of fire-led small plates under the direction of Chef Ben Allen. Since opening, The Parakeet has been widely recognised as one of Londons most exciting new restaurant openingsnamed among Squaremeals Top 100 Restaurants, the Top 50 Gastropubs, and reviewed with critical acclaim by Giles Coren and Jimi Famurewa.
We are now seeking a Restaurant Manager to help us continue raising the barsomeone with clarity, confidence, and natural warmth, who can lead our front-of-house team with integrity.

The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the AGM and General Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of service and a guest experience that reflects both the quality of the kitchen and the warmth of our pub.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading service from the floor, setting the tone and pace of hospitality
* Training and developing the front-of-house team with a focus on knowledge, consistency, and attentiveness
* Collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain clear and efficient communication throughout service
* Managing weekly staffing rotas in line with business needs and budget
* Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and regular performance reviews
* Delivering clear, engaging team briefs to align service expectations and maintain a high standard of delivery
* Contributing to a positive team culture where both guests and staff feel genuinely valued

What Were Looking For
* Experience in casual fine dining settings, ideally with a small plate service.
* A confident and empathetic leader who brings structure, calm, and enthusiasm to the team
* A strong understanding of seasonal food, wine, and the dynamics of relaxed but elevated service
* The ability to problem-solve and respond to real-time issues with professionalism and positivity
* Someone who takes pride in providing thoughtful, intuitive hospitality and understands the balance between structure and atmosphere
