Senior IT Field Engineer
Lead from the front and help shape a growing service function
We are a fast-growing, forward-thinking Internet Service Provider transforming how commercial landlords deliver connectivity to their buildings. The business has quickly become a trusted partner to commercial clients across London, delivering modern, reliable telecoms and data solutions.
We're now looking for an experienced Senior IT Field Engineer to join our service delivery function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also mentoring others, improving processes and helping to shape how technical support is delivered. For the right person, there is a clear pathway into a Service Desk Manager position.

The role
As a Senior IT Field Engineer, you will balance hands-on field work with leadership responsibilities. You'll attend customer sites to activate and support connectivity services while also acting as a technical escalation point for the wider team.
You'll work closely with the service desk, account managers, suppliers and building management teams to ensure smooth onboarding, rapid issue resolution and a consistently high standard of service.
Key responsibilities
6. Leading by example on customer sites, activating services and resolving complex IT and connectivity issues
7. Acting as an escalation point for the service desk and field engineers
8. Mentoring and coaching junior engineers, both on-site and remotely
9. Working closely with the service desk to improve ticket handling, communication and resolution times
10. Liaising with account managers and keeping customers informed on progress and outcomes
11. Coordinating with suppliers and network operators on installs, faults and projects
12. Arranging site access and managing relationships with building management teams
Skills and experience (desirable)
13. Strong background in IT support, field engineering or service delivery
14. Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and stakeholders
15. Solid understanding of fibre, leased lines and business connectivity
16. Good networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills
17. Experience mentoring, coaching or informally leading others
18. Ambition to move into a leadership or service management role
