Our client is a leading custom design and manufacturer in their field, selling their products to a wide range of industries across the globe. With over 25 years of proven success and innovation, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Electrical Fitter to join their production team on a permanent basis. This role would suit someone with an electrical background who is confident reading engineering drawings and working with control panels, wiring, and mechanical components. You’ll play a vital role in assembling, testing, and checking high-quality systems to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to carry out accurate product assembly.
* Manufacture and assemble both mechanical and electrical components.
* Wire control boxes and complete machine systems.
* Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding.
* Work to ISO processes and compliance standards.
* Carry out final testing and product quality checks.
* Maintain high standards of workplace safety and housekeeping.
* Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly (electrically biased preferred)
* Familiarity with pneumatic systems is an advantage.
* Ability to work independently, read technical drawings, and follow procedures accurately.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, such as Word and Excel.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
* A proactive attitude with a focus on safety and quality
