Context
We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. This position within our MEP engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team.
The Mechanical Engineer will work with a team of engineers producing the design delivery of allocated MEP Projects as instructed by the projects Lead MEP Engineer.
Missions/Main Duties
Duties
* Ensuring designs are completed to meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements.
* Ensuring designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
* Planning the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales.
* Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
Profile/Skills
Essential
* Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role
* Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required
* Knowledge of mechanical services design within the built environment or transport infrastructure including HVAC, Public Health, Building Physics and BIM
* Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and building services
* Knowledge of construction principles and standards
* Experience of BIM.
* Experience in the use of Hevacomp and/or Thermal Modelling Design Software.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* A self‑motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
Desirable
* Able to undertake overseas assignments where required
* Qualified to HNC or equivalent
* This role requires a good understanding of CSM/CDM regulations and requirements (internal training will be provided).
