Key responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Compliance team as part of a 3 month internship. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a fast-growing, regulated financial services business, while applying academic learning in a practical, real-world setting.
During the internship, you will work closely with the Risk and Compliance team, supporting a range of activities that help ensure the business meets its regulatory and compliance obligations. You will be exposed to areas such as regulatory monitoring, due diligence, policy maintenance, and internal controls, gaining insight into how effective compliance and financial crime frameworks support risk management and responsible business growth.
* Support the Risk and Compliance team with day-to-day activities, under the guidance of senior team members.
* Maintain and update Compliance databases, trackers, and records, and assist with the preparation of internal reports.
* Monitor relevant compliance laws, regulations, and guidance to support the development and maintenance of regulatory horizon trackers.
* Support due diligence activities, including third-party screening, data collection and documentation reviews.
* Assist with the development, review, and ongoing maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and controls.
* Contribute to wider Compliance activities such as regulatory change implementation, audits, and internal reviews.
What we are looking for:
* Final-year student or recent graduate in Law, Business, or a related field.
* Prior work experience in financial services or law is a plus.
* Basic understanding of, and interest in, financial services regulation, compliance, financial crime, or risk management, with a willingness to learn in a regulated environment.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and work with data and documentation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document clear, practical processes.
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
Please note that we have an office in London, and we aim to work together there the majority of the time.
