Senior Accounts Payable Officer - MAT Cover £30,000 - £33,000 per annum Location: Aldridge, Walsall Contract: Fixed-term (September 2025 – early August 2026) Hours: Monday to Friday | 08.30am to 4.45pm (1 hour lunch) | 36.25 hours per week Reports to: Financial Controller We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer for a 12-month fixed-term role. You will join a friendly and collaborative finance team, supporting operations across the UK and Ireland. The role’s primary focus will be on managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, while also providing occasional support to colleagues in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and HR/Payroll. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update the Supplier Master File in line with company policy Process supplier invoices and credit notes, including matching invoices to goods receipt notes and posting general expenses Ensure correct documentation and approval are obtained for all invoices and credit notes Resolve Accounts Payable queries promptly, liaising with internal and external stakeholders Prepare monthly intercompany supplier statement reconciliations Review and reconcile trade supplier statements Prepare supplier payment files for approval Provide cross-functional support to General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and HR/Payroll teams Undertake ad-hoc finance tasks as required What We’re Looking For Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable processes Broader finance department experience is highly advantageous Finance qualification desirable, but proven hands-on experience equally valued Excellent communication skills at all levels Team player with flexibility to support during busy periods Confident to challenge processes when needed and committed to doing the right thing Ability to meet deadlines and work within processes and company policies Job Ref: EN945 Hollyfield Personnel do not contact or write to unsuccessful candidates.
