: Leonardo's UK Trade Compliance team provides Import / Export Control and Trade Compliance services across the UK business units and divisions which cover a diverse range of technically advanced products and services from airborne radar, targeting solutions, infrared detectors, camera systems, cyber- and physical- security solutions, through to the design manufacture and supply of rotary aircraft used for commercial, public utility, security and defence applications. The Trade Compliance team are looking for an administrator to support the activities of the Import/Export Control team. What you'll do as a Trade Compliance Administrator: Submission of Import customs clearance instructions to Import agents in accordance with UK customs regulations and company procedures to facilitate inbound customs declarations, including Liaising with business to ensure correct and accurate clearance instructions can be issued to import agent/import broker Instructing freight agent/importer broker in accordance with business requirements Checking import clearance information provided by import agent/broker to ensure Leonardo instructions have been followed Addressing any anomalies identified (with reference to site Trade Compliance lead) Notifying business of import clearance conditions Submission of export declarations to UK HMRC in accordance with UK regulations and company procedures, including: Making direct customs entries where relevant into NES/CHIEF (or CDS when deployed), or Issue instructions to Declarants to ensure CHIEF/CDS entries will be correct/accurate Checking customs entries following goods departure and address anomalies (with reference to site Trade Compliance lead) Identifying corrective action when errors are noted (with reference to site Trade Compliance lead) General administration support to the site Import/Export Control team, including:- Preparation of data packs relating to import and export transactions in readiness for internal and external audits, ensuring packs are recorded on company systems in accordance with company procedures Assisting with the preparation of reports for submission to UK authorities (such as Deferment reports and export licence transparency reports) Assisting with processing and reconciling Freight Forwarder invoices What we need from you: Have previous experience of working for multiple customers which will require good prioritisation of workload to align to the customer requirements. Be self-motivated and set high personal work standards. Working as part of a team, the candidate will demonstrate collaborative and supportive behaviours. The ability to build strong and trusted relationships to achieve objectives is required. It is essential to be a proficient user of Microsoft Outlook and a competent user of all Microsoft packages in particular Word, Power Point and Excel. This role will be interfacing with senior managers within Leonardo and with UK Government agencies, therefore, a high standard of professionalism is required. Due to the nature of this position, absolute discretion and integrity is a pre-requisite. Need to acquire a more detailed working knowledge of import/export and trade compliance matters so a keen willingness to learn is an essential skill.
