Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
* Collaborate with team members to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure the kitchen is well-organised, clean, and equipped for optimal performance.
* Assist in training new kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
