Job Title: Social Worker – Children’s Services

Location: Head Office – Loughton, Essex
Salary: £37,000 - £48,000 a year (depending on experience and skills)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Additional: Virtual on-call duties as required

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team. Based at our head office in Loughton, Essex, you will be responsible for safeguarding children, undertaking assessments, creating care plans, and representing the organisation in professional settings. Key Responsibilities
· Undertake risk assessments and produce comprehensive care plans for children and young people.
· Manage safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance and company policy.
· Prepare high-quality written reports for internal and external stakeholders, including for court proceedings.
· Attend and present evidence in court as required.
· Conduct regular visits to service users.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
· Participate in virtual on-call duties as part of a rota.
· Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
· Provide guidance and support to colleagues where appropriate.
· Carry out any other tasks reasonably required to fulfil the role.
Requirements
Essential:
· Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in social work, with a focus on child protection.
· Court experience within the child protection process.
· Trauma-informed training.
· Positive Behaviour Support training.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong report-writing ability.
· Registered with Social Work England.
Desirable:
· Experience in multi-agency work.
· Additional safeguarding-related qualifications.
