An established UK manufacturing business in West Leeds is seeking an experienced accountant with prior exposure to the manufacturing sector. The business combines a stable trading history with ongoing investment in systems, processes and people.
The role sits within a small but capable finance function and will report into a senior finance lead. It is a broad, hands-on position offering exposure across statutory accounting, management reporting and manufacturing finance, working closely with both operational and commercial stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis
* Production of balance sheet reconciliations and oversight of core ledgers
* Support with year-end accounts and audit processes
* Development and maintenance of standard costing and product costings
* Analysis of variances across labour, materials and overheads
* Stock valuation, work-in-progress reporting and inventory controls
* Support with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
* Financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
* Continuous improvement of reporting, controls and finance processes
