Unify are excited to be supporting our client in finding an Electronics Engineer to support all aspects of the R&D for new Drone / UAS products
Applications without drone experience will not be considered
As the Electronics Engineer you will:
* Build and assemble electronic prototypes for drone / UAS platforms from schematics and design documentation.
* Create, maintain and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for prototype and low-volume builds.
* Support schematic capture and review alongside design engineers.
* Carry out hand soldering, PCB rework and modification (through-hole and SMT as required).
* Perform PCB assembly and system-level integration, including avionics and payload electronics where applicable.
* Debug and fault-find prototype hardware using standard lab equipment.
* Support design iterations by feeding back manufacturability, assembly and reliability improvements.
* Produce clear build documentation and assembly instructions.
* Collaborate with hardware, firmware and systems teams during development and flight-test cycles.
* Ensure builds meet ESD, quality and safety standards.
* Support transition from prototype to early production.
To be considered for the Electronics Engineer position you must have:
* Proven experience in electronics prototyping, hardware engineering or engineering technician roles.
* Direct hands-on experience working with drones / UAVs / UAS platforms (development, integration, or prototype build environments).
* Strong practical soldering and electronic assembly background.
* Experience producing and managing BOMs.
* Ability to work confidently from schematics and engineering drawings.
* Hands-on PCB assembly and rework experience.
* Practical fault-finding and debugging capability.
* Experience using schematic tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar (user or contributor level).
* Comfortable using lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies, etc). xxuwjjq
