Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

Redburn Rehabilitation Ward is a busy rehabilitation ward, with 20 Stroke Rehabilitation beds. As a Senior Healthcare Support Worker you must have a genuine interest in the rehabilitation process and be pro-active in achieving best outcomes for our patients. You must also commit to further learning, undertaking the STARs modules and completing the Stroke Competency Toolkit as well as further training agreed with Senior Charge Nurse.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should have excellent communication skills, have the enthusiasm and ability to provide therapeutic interventions to enhance the rehabilitation process by providing person centered goals and individual care for each patient.

Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You should have an awareness of relevant legislation, policies, standards, best practice statements, guidelines and capability frameworks. You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.

Hours:

2 positions - 37 per week

Hours will be worked on a rotational shift pattern.
