Organisational Development Practitioner (Senior Leadership)

The OD Practitioner (Senior Leadership Development) will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of senior leadership development interventions across the organisation, including the Clinical Director's Development Programme, the Matron & Professional Lead Development Programme and the Ward Manager & Departmental Manager Development Programme.
The role will also lead the management of supporting interventions that further enhance the leadership programme prospectus, such as Monthly Managers' Updates, the Leadership in Lancs framework, the What Good Looks Like frameworks for People Managers, and the Annual Leadership Conference.
The post holder must ensure all interventions are aligned to organisational priorities and demonstrate measurable impact on performance, behaviour change, workforce performance metrics, quality of colleague experience or culture.
Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement and project‑management skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of OD principles. The post holder will work collaboratively across the organisation to foster a culture focused on people and performance conversations that enable exceptional colleague experience.
Main duties of the job
* Lead the design, delivery, implementation and continuous improvement of trust‑wide senior management and leadership programmes such as the Clinical Director's Development Programme, the Matron & Professional Lead Development Programme and the Ward Manager & Departmental Manager Development Programme.
* Lead the design, delivery and coordination of supporting interventions such as Monthly Managers' Update Sessions, the Leadership in Lancs Framework, What Good Looks Like Frameworks and the Annual Leadership Conference.
* Support the design, delivery and evaluation of other accredited and non‑accredited leadership and development programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
* Provide OD business‑partnering support to teams, including facilitation and delivery of bespoke team sessions that improve team effectiveness, culture, leadership capability and support change or staff engagement.
Job responsibilities

* Support the design, delivery and evaluation of other accredited and non‑accredited leadership and development programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
* Provide OD business‑partnering support to teams, facilitating bespoke team sessions that improve team effectiveness, culture, leadership capability and support complex change or staff engagement.
* Collaborate with colleagues to shape and influence the Workforce and OD strategy, focusing on building a positive organisational culture that enhances performance and improves staff experience.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Education
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area or demonstrable experience working in the professional field.
* Evidence of structured professional and career development.
* Master's degree qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. MSc Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development or Leadership/Management).
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or Chartered Organisational Psychologist.
* Qualified in project‑management techniques.
* Teaching qualification at Certificate of Education level or equivalent.
* Coaching qualification or substantial experience coaching senior staff for multidisciplinary roles.
Knowledge & Experience
* Extensive experience, knowledge and proven ability in delivering transformational OD interventions to support senior leadership development within a large diverse organisation.
* Knowledge of team engagement, team development, morale, leadership development theory and practice.
* Experience of evaluation and proof of impact of senior leadership development/OD interventions and programmes of work.
* Knowledge of a range of facilitation techniques.
* Significant experience of working as an internal or external consultant and providing a consultancy or OD business‑partnering service, including experience of scoping, design, analytical and diagnostic skills to implement OD interventions to meet a range of stakeholder needs.
* Experienced in the design and delivery of a range of leadership development and training programmes to colleagues at all levels and in all roles.
* Experience of working in a management position in a large complex organisation.
* Experience of coordinating events, conferences, workshops or focus groups.
* Experience of working in the public sector or NHS.
* Experience of delivering equality, diversity and inclusion interventions.
* Experience of providing OD support to teams undergoing complex change and reorganisation.
* Experience of producing communications resources and utilising a range of communication channels including social media.

Compensation
£49,387 to £56,515 per annum, pro rata.
