Warehouse Operative - Picking & Packing Kingswinford Temporary to Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Overtime: Saturdays (1.5x), Sundays (2x) The Role: We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment. This role involves picking and packing orders using advanced systems, including a Kardex machine, and supporting various warehouse operations. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work across different departments and provide holiday cover when needed. The role will involve handling high-value materials including stainless steel pipes. Ideally, we are seeking a Warehouse Operative who has experience working within the steel industry. Full training will be provided on the Kardex systems along with in house FLT training on counterbalance, reach, bendi and side loaders. Key Responsibilities Picking stock using a Kardex automated system (full training provided) Packing and preparing orders for dispatch Sporting goods into designated racking areas for logistics providers Handling long products such as stainless-steel pipes Supporting goods-in and goods-out operations Always maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Adapting to different departments as required Requirements Previous experience in picking and packing is essential Experience within steel, metals, or pipe industries is advantageous (but not essential) Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude
