About the Role
The Primary Mental Health Clinician is a keymember of the Mental Health Brief Intervention Service within Health NewZealand Primary Mental Health and Addiction Service - South Canterbury.
To role provides service foradults, who are referred by their General Practitioner / Nurse Practitioner /Practice Nurse, NGO or other Mental Health Service, with mild to moderatemental health issues. Initial assessment will be required to determine a treatmentplan in conjunction with the person referred. Interventions are to be focused,specific and short term.
About you
This role suits someone who enjoys workingwithin a proactive team environment, who is well organised and with excellentinterpersonal and communications skills. The person must be able to work alongside andcollaborate with a range of health professionals, leading on initiatives andachieving desired outcomes.
An in depth understanding and ability toimplement a range of treatment modalities in required. Additionally, the person will also have thefollowing;
* Current APC in their profession
* A Post Graduate mental health qualification, would be desirable
* The right to work in New Zealand
