New Year- New Start!! We are recruiting for Train Managers to join CrossCountry at Birmingham New Street in January 2026 and throughout the year.

Responsibilities
* Check and sell tickets on board services and advise customers about their journey, communicating with individuals and groups while being aware of their needs.
* Handle unexpected situations calmly and confidently when things don’t run smoothly.
* Maintain a comfortable train environment by fixing and reporting defective equipment and managing luggage issues.
* Work as part of a team with On-Board colleagues to ensure customers have a memorable experience.
* Prioritize safety by following procedures and regulations; you may take the lead in critical situations.
* Receive initial training: a 10-week training course at our Customer Service Training Centre in Derby covering all aspects of the role.
Training & Development
This is a safety-critical role and you will undertake safety training as part of your onboarding. Training includes all procedures, rules and regulations and prepares you to lead when required.
Benefits & Schedule
* Salary during training: £34,174 per annum, rising to £39,895 per annum upon completion of training.
* Average hours: ~35 per week.
* Free unlimited train travel on CrossCountry services; discounted travel on other train companies.

Requirements
* Pass a safety-critical medical and a DBS check.
* Willingness to work shifts and some weekends; not a standard 9-to-5 role.
* Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage diverse customer needs.
