Mechanical Engineer – Piping Stress Analysis (Manchester)
We are seeking a motivated
Mechanical Engineer
with a strong interest or experience in
piping stress analysis
using
CAESAR II
. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside senior engineers on the design, analysis, and evaluation of piping systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform piping stress analysis using
CAESAR II
.
* Model piping systems based on
P&IDs
and
isometric drawings
.
* Analyze piping systems under
thermal expansion, dead weight, seismic, and dynamic loads
.
* Ensure piping layouts meet code compliance (e.g.,
ASME B31.1, B31.3
).
* Collaborate closely with piping designers, process engineers, and structural teams.
* Prepare reports, mark-ups, and technical documentation.
* Provide engineering support throughout design and implementation phases.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
.
* Hands-on experience with CAESAR II
software.
* Ability to read and interpret
P&IDs, piping isometrics, and general arrangements
.
* Knowledge of relevant piping codes (
ASME B31.1, B31.3
) is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
* Must have the

Preferred Qualifications
* Project experience in
piping design or stress analysis
.
* Familiarity with other design tools (e.g.,
AutoCAD, Navisworks
).
* Interest in
Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial projects
