Senior Staff Nurse – Chemotherapy Day Unit
Location: Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
At Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC), part of HCA Healthcare UK, we’re proud to deliver world‑class private cancer treatment in a supportive, patient‑focused environment. Rated Outstanding by the CQC and recognised with the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark, LOC is a truly special place to grow your oncology nursing career.
We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to join our Chemo Day Unit – a nurse‑led, collaborative service where your expertise, autonomy, and leadership will truly make an impact. This is an ideal opportunity for nurses who have consolidated their SACT skills and are looking to take on more responsibility, expand their clinical leadership and continue progressing within oncology nursing.
As a Senior Staff Nurse in our day unit, you’ll be part of a highly skilled and supportive team caring for patients receiving systemic anti‑cancer therapies. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate complex treatments in a calm, compassionate, and patient‑centred setting. You’ll play a key role in patient advocacy, clinical decision‑making and the coordination of care— not only improving patient outcomes, but also supporting their families during challenging times.
You’ll work in a modern, purpose‑built unit with access to the latest treatments and clinical innovations. Our service is built around safety, dignity and emotional wellbeing—for both patients and the staff who care for them.
Why Join LOC?
At LOC, you’ll be empowered to develop both professionally and personally. Our cancer services are at the forefront of innovation, giving you exposure to advanced systemic treatments—many not yet available on the NHS— supported by an on‑site pharmacy and chemotherapy production unit.
You’ll benefit from the autonomy that comes with nurse‑led care, working in an environment that values clinical decision‑making and leadership. Whether you aspire to move into Sister, Matron or specialist roles, we’ll help get you there through fully funded training (including at Master’s level), dedicated development pathways and regular sessions with external clinical educators.
Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team that genuinely cares—about our patients and about each other.
Benefits
We care about your wellbeing at work—offering a range of benefits and a supportive environment that lets you thrive.
