Our client, a respected name in the automotive and motorsport industry, is looking for a capable Management Accountant to join their finance team for a maternity cover contract. Based at their impressive facility near Chipping Warden, this is a full-time, office-based role supporting the business through a busy and exciting period.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-motivated individual with exceptional Excel ability, strong attention to detail, and experience producing accurate and insightful financial reports. This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a dynamic, supportive team and take ownership of core accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
Perform detailed job costing and margin analysis to support operational teams
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts including accruals and prepayments
Manage intercompany charges and reconciliations
Create, update, and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and dashboards
Lead on VAT returns and other statutory submissions
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including bank reconciliations and payment processing
Support the annual budget and forecasting process
Liaise with department heads to provide accurate and timely financial insight
Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting Ideal Candidate Profile:
AAT qualified (or working towards ACCA/CIMA)
Proven experience in a management accounting or similar role
Expert-level Excel skills – confident building complex formulas, pivot tables, and dynamic models
Familiarity with Sage 200 (desirable but not essential)
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments
Comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit team What You’ll Receive:
