Join a team of experts and progressive thinkers As the Head of Change Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the firm by designing and delivering high-impact change programmes aligned to our new five-year strategy. You will report directly to the Director of Client Solutions & Innovation who is leading a new combined department following the merger of our Transformation and Knowledge & Innovation teams to create Client Solutions & Innovation. You will lead a highly motivated team committed to delivering change across the business. Our new five-year strategy reimagines the shape of our law firm over the next five years with the evolution of our business model including business professional roles, deployment of multi-disciplinary teams and effective adoption of legal technology. We are open to either full-time or part-time candidates (minimum 4 days per week). This role can be based in either our Bristol, Birmingham or Leeds office, with hybrid working available. The role Change management: Turn strategy into executable, multi-year change programmes aligned to the firm's strategy and future operating model. Translate strategic ambition into clear, deliverable roadmaps with defined outcomes, benefits, and measures of success. Partner closely with the Director of Client Solutions & Innovation to operationalise the firm's change agenda. Ensure delivery of a multi-strand Board-led strategic change programme in line with our strategic goals. Ensure alignment of our programmes to the key strategic drivers alongside meeting the net margin challenge and creating positive tangible change for our clients Establish strong governance, delivery cadence, and benefits realisation frameworks. Manage alignment and milestones across multiple initiatives, ensuring pace without change fatigue. Change delivery Assist the Director of Client Solutions & Innovation to create a new change and project management office capability to co-ordinate our Generative AI and other change programmes and increase the pace of change delivery. Execute the change roadmap and demonstrate effective adoption of change. Provide line management to the senior manager roles. Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with our internal communications team to develop and own a proactive internal communications strand to engage our multi-generational workforce in change as delivery models evolve through use of technology such as generative AI. Ensure that all senior stakeholders understand and can articulate externally the "art of the possible". Build strong partnerships across the business including with key business professional colleagues in organisational development, L&D, communications and our Knowledge & Innovation Lawyers, Partners and champion networks to ensure alignment between central and local initiatives. People, Culture & Adoption Assist the Director of Client Solutions & Innovation to mobilise the new department as an integrated, innovative and responsible team where multiple professional disciplines and experience come together to make innovation and sustainable, positive change happen. Work closely with our HR team to design change approaches that resonate across a multi-generational workforce, balancing traditional legal excellence with new ways of working. Lead stakeholder engagement, communications, and capability-building strategies to drive sustained behaviour change. Potentially to work alongside other coaching capabilities in the firm to assist leaders and teams to actively lead change. Proven track record of delivering change that creates tangible client and commercial impact. Strong understanding of change management methodologies and demonstrable experience in practical application (e.g. behavioural change, adoption, benefits tracking and realisation). Experience of technology-enabled change, including digital transformation and/or AI-driven initiatives. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with credibility at partner and executive level. Experience working with or alongside innovation, legal tech, data, or product teams. Exposure to generative AI use cases within professional or knowledge-based work. Background in consulting, transformation, or internal strategy roles within professional services. Skills & Capabilities Strategic thinker with the ability to translate big-picture vision into practical programme delivery.
