The Company: We are working with a Regional Contractor who have delivered projects for a variety of clients across the North West for 30 years. They tend to work on New Build and Refurbishment schemes for public and private sector clients valued to £10 Million and are members of a number of key procurement frameworks. The Role: They are now keen to add a Bid Writer to their team. You will be responsible for generating high-quality written bids, tenders, and quotation materials, working alongside the pre-construction team and other staff. You will provide admin support from initial enquiry to tender submission, including bid writing input from simple quotations and client enquiries to large scale bid proposals and tender submissions. You will help to source new clients by monitoring portals and sources of potential tender opportunities for the business. You will help to handle PQQs, ITTs & RFIs downloading, collating, preparing, completing, and submitting relevant documents ahead of deadlines. Ensuring that the correct documents are submitted as part of bids. You’ll thoroughly edit and proof-read materials that leave the building to ensure that information is formatted and grammatically correct without spelling errors, is well-researched, follows company brand guidelines and meets/exceeds customers’ requirements. Suggest improvements to the bid process, developing best practice. You: You will need to be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily. IT literate. Good construction knowledge. Good verbal and written communication skills. You will typically have a couple of jobs to bid at any one time.
