Conducting Internal Training where required Candidates who meet either of the the following requirements are invited to apply for this position: SACPCMP Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) Completed Programme in Occupational Health and Safety / Construction Health and Safety (NQF Level 3 - 5) or Learnership Certificate in Construction Health and Safety Management (NQF Level 3) or National Diploma in Safety Management or B-Tech in Safety Management / B.Com Operational Risk Management Valid qualification(s) in Occupational / Construction Health and Safety Management. 5 years experience in a civil engineering environment, multiple concurrent sites on different locations Knowledge of H&S and related acts Fully bilingual Computer literate (with strong MS Excel Skills) Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently Excellent time management and organisational skills Valid Drivers License Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Develop and implementation of H&S management systems for group of companies in cohesion with ISO management system Generate Health and Safety File for contract works Conduct Risk Assessments in order to implement control measures for all contract and emergency works Investigate incident / accidents and report in an advisory role to Compliance Manager Liaise between Clients, Principal Contractors and Sub-contractors etc. Compliance Audits (Conducted on all contractors, site conditions & H&S system) Head H&S Committee Meetings to discuss all H&S related matters on all sites Site Inspections on online platform necessary actioning of findings Compile Health and Safety Related Documentation Site specific Safety Plans Hazard Identification Risk Assessments Fall Protection Plans Method Statements Safe Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Emergency Preparedness Instructions Including all other required documentation General ad-hoc duties which might be assigned from management from time to time In return a competitive salary is on offer.
