Teaching Personnel is looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to provide supply cover across several SEN and SEMH provisions in the Glastonbury area. Starting from September 2026, with potential opportunities available before then, this role offers flexibility alongside meaningful work supporting pupils with additional needs.
Your Contribution
As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring continuity for pupils when schools require additional support. We are seeking individuals who can confidently adapt to different settings and immediately contribute to positive learning experiences.
* Supporting pupils within classroom environments.
* Encouraging engagement with learning activities.
* Assisting with personal, social and emotional development.
* Supporting behaviour and communication strategies.
* Working with individuals and small groups.
* Helping maintain safe, structured and positive environments.
* Collaborating with education professionals to meet pupil needs.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience within SEN, SEMH or specialist education.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Reliability and adaptability.
* Confidence working across different provisions.
* Ability to establish rapport quickly with pupils and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
