Fixed Term Contract (9-12 months), 37.5 hours per week.

We are seeking a successful change management professional with proven financial services experience to help drive the delivery of complex strategic projects and programmes.

The Programme Manager will manage all elements of assigned programmes from inception to completion, ensuring they have appropriate governance, and that delivery, assurance, reporting, and benefits are managed effectively and timely for senior stakeholders up to Board level. The Programme Manager is expected to maintain a clear line of sight through all programme delivery.

This role supports the Change team by providing the professional framework and technical discipline to plan, initiate, monitor, deliver, and report change initiatives within the organisation.


The role – what you’ll be doing

* Provide effective leadership throughout your responsibility, living Border to Coast values to maximise colleague experience and performance.
* Manage delivery of programmes within Border to Coast’s development portfolio, as approved, scoped, and designed by senior stakeholders/sponsor.
* Develop programme delivery plans and drive the execution of complex programmes with key strategic projects.
* Manage multiple stakeholders and resources, providing constructive challenge where necessary.
* Communicate effectively across the organisation, including executives, partners, suppliers, and workstreams, ensuring delivery objectives, benefits, and outcomes are fully understood, especially around interdependencies and risks.
* Engage in aligning programme aims with wider corporate strategic planning and delivery.
* Develop programme management capability through coaching and training to embed corporate approaches.
* Provide operational oversight and support to sponsors, senior project managers, and workstream leads to ensure objectives are achieved.
* Deliver effective programme management reporting within the organisational PMO framework.
* Provide strong management across key strategic projects, supporting stakeholders and delivering milestones.
* Lead identification, reporting, and mitigation of key business risks.
* Confirm the successful delivery and completion of programmes.
