HR and Payroll Administrator, YMCA DOWNSLINK GROUP
37 hours per week / £24,755 per annum / fixed term maternity cover until 31st March 2027.

Role summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented HR and Payroll Administrator to provide high‑quality HR administration and coordinate HR and Payroll processes across the organisation. You’ll be the first point of contact for HR and Payroll queries, maintain accurate personnel records, and support accurate monthly pay across the organisation. You’ll also work closely with colleagues to ensure systems and procedures are efficient, compassionate, and compliant.
Responsibilities
* Respond to HR and Payroll queries via email, phone, and in person.
* Maintain personnel records and support HR system improvements.
* Assist with HR projects and audits.
* Ensure payroll deadlines are adhered to and data is prepared.
* Process and calculate SSP and CSP for the organisation.
* Provide cover for other HR administrators during absences or busy periods.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in HR, People, L&D, or Payroll administration.
* Basic understanding of PAYE regulations and statutory payments.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (training provided).
* Ability to manage confidential data in line with GDPR.
* Payroll or HR qualification (or willingness to undertake accredited training).
