Finance Manager, Luton, Bedfordshire (Hybrid working)

Our client, a nationwide leader experiencing an exciting period of growth, is looking to appoint a technically strong Finance Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring the setup and delivery of accurate and timely accounting and reporting in accordance with head office policies. The Finance Manager will oversee the end-to-end finance processes, ultimately delivering financial statements in line with IFRS standards.
Key Duties:
1. Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for all Group companies and consolidate reports in accordance with financial reporting standards and best practices.
2. Prepare monthly management accounts, including comparisons and analysis to budget, cash flow forecasts, annual budget preparation, financial statement preparation, audit process management, and tax return oversight.
3. Maintain a robust fixed asset register and ensure accurate VAT reporting.
4. Support the Group Finance Director with the annual budget setting process and the preparation of forecasts.
5. Assist with technical accounting issues, including aspects of acquisition accounting.
6. Review, challenge, and implement changes to accounting and Management Information (MI) to maximize insight into company profitability.
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with demonstrable experience aligned with the responsibilities outlined above. Technical reporting skills and consolidation experience are highly desirable. The company offers a healthy work-life balance, good working hours, and hybrid working arrangements.
