Accounts Assistant
We’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented individual with a can-do attitude to join our friendly and supportive team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and that deadlines are met.
No prior financial or legal experience is required – full training will be provided. However, you should have a genuine interest in developing your skills in accounts within a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with debt collection and financial transaction processing
* Maintain accurate daily updates of office, client, and nominal ledgers
* Check and post bills
* Handle internal and external calls, including taking card payments
* Provide support and cover for team members within Accounts and Cashiering
* Ensure compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, HMRC regulations, and other relevant legislation
* Contribute to the improvement of office and accounts procedures
* Carry out other duties as required

* Clear and professional communication (written, verbal, and face-to-face)
* Customer-focused approach with a helpful attitude
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
* Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
* Confident IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
Qualifications
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, Grade C/4 or above
Experience
* No prior experience required – full training provided
* We can consider candidates with accounts experience too
* Interest in accounts and the legal sector is essential
