Job Description
Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven professional to manage the end-to-end delivery of manufactured product orders within a fast-paced production environment. This role requires full ownership—from customer engagement and order processing through to factory release and final delivery.
This position is built for someone who takes control, drives clarity, and delivers with pace and precision. You thrive in an environment where accountability, operational discipline, and commercial awareness matter, and where projects must move cleanly from sale to manufacture without friction or rework.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Customer Ownership
* Take full ownership of customer orders for manufactured products, managing them from initial sale through to fabrication and delivery
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers, responding promptly to all queries and taking control of the relationship
* Liaise directly with customers to gather, challenge, and clarify requirements, converting discussions into accurate, factory-ready information
* Deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience throughout their collaboration with Trovex
Manufacturing Project Delivery
* Manage multiple live projects across three in-house manufacturing streams: doors, integrated plumbing systems, and cubicles
* Translate customer and architectural requirements into clear, structured documentation suitable for production release
* Work closely with Production to ensure accurate fabrication, efficient scheduling, and on-time delivery
* Operate with urgency in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy under pressure
Commercial & Margin Control
* Maintain and enhance gross profit (GP) reconciliation, ensuring alignment between what is sold and what is manufactured
* Identify and control scope changes, specification amendments, and commercial risk to protect margin
* Drive performance against budgets, targets, and KPIs, maximising efficiency and financial outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Production, and CAD to ensure seamless order flow and operational alignment
* Partner with the CAD department to ensure drawings, revisions, and amendments are correctly captured and issued
* Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring issues and implement improvements without being prompted
Performance & Standards
* Execute all work with exceptional attention to detail, maintaining high standards even during peak demand
* Consistently exceed KPIs, setting the benchmark for pace, ownership, and delivery
* Maintain focus, energy, and momentum across multiple concurrent manufacturing projects
What a Typical Day Looks Like
Your day is structured, disciplined, and driven by active project control across multiple manufacturing workstreams. You manage your workload rigorously against the project tracker and task list to ensure nothing drifts or stalls.
A typical day includes:
* Managing live projects across doors, integrated plumbing systems, and cubicles, all manufactured in-house
* Reviewing and responding to a high volume of emails and Teams messages to keep projects moving
* Attending and leading project meetings and Teams calls with site managers, architects, and contract managers
* Confidently handling phone calls, including challenging conversations to lock down scope, specifications, and changes
* Extracting detailed technical information from architects’ drawings and door schedules to support accurate fabrication
* Working closely with the CAD team to ensure revisions and amendments are correctly applied and approved
* Coordinating with internal departments to resolve issues quickly and maintain delivery timelines
* Keeping project trackers up to date to retain full visibility, control, and accountability
* Your focus throughout the day is on driving progress, protecting margin, and ensuring orders move cleanly from customer requirement into manufacture.
Requirements
* Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or order-driven environment
* Strong customer-facing communication skills with a confident and professional phone manner
* Ability to challenge requirements and manage difficult conversations when necessary
* Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to technical and commercial accuracy
* Strong organisational skills with the discipline to manage work against structured trackers and task lists
* Ability to operate effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
* Proactive problem-solver with a solutions-focused approach
