You have a degree in a relevant field or extensive experience in commissioning and contract management, alongside excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. You are a strategic thinker who can manage relationships and drive a high-performance culture within your team.
As the Waste Management Contract & Compliance Lead, you will be fully accountable for managing the council's waste treatment and disposal services across Wiltshire. You will oversee multi-million-pound external contracts, ensuring statutory and environmental compliance is maintained while driving service transformation to meet legislative requirements. You will act as a senior technical advisor, leading the development of new policies, resolving operational and contractual challenges, and influencing waste management strategies. You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and implement changes to contracts and provide expert guidance to senior leaders.
